  本院，名為【高雄縣私立基督教山地育幼院】。一般外界簡稱〝六龜孤兒院〞或稱〝山地育幼院〞。

  創辦人楊 煦、林鳳英牧師夫婦蒙上帝啟示，及受傳統先聖先賢悲天憫人之心性所影響，於傳道之餘，親身實踐耶穌基督博愛之精神，於民國41年起開始身體力行，於家中收容一名原住民啞女孤兒。

  至民國五十三年春，毅然覓地蓋草棚定居現址，當時已有原住民孤兒24名。

The Christian Mountain Children′s Home was registered at 1970. Also known as Liu-Kwei orphanage, was built to help those most poor, native children in Taiwan.

Under God’s reveal, Rev. & Mrs.  Hsu Yang  adopted the first deaf orphan Ruth Lin in 1952.They continued by helping to raise other poor kids especially for the Taiwan aborigines.

  本院收容院童維持在100名左右，其來源分別為：孩童父母雙亡，或家庭遭受重大變故而無力撫養，或遭遺棄，疏忽、受虐、流浪街頭，或受保護管束等之孩童等，經審核入院後施以長期收容養育。

  入院後依其自0歲至18歲不同年齡層，分別為嬰幼兒、幼稚園、小學、中學、及大     專等，編成數個小家庭，每家均有固定保育員輔導，因材施教。

  本院極為注重院童生活教育，日常生活在院，每晨早起晨更、打掃、上下學、洗衣洗澡、晚自修、就寢等，均按規定作息時間進行，就像一個大家庭。

  平日教導孩童學習做人處世、待人接物之道理，並輔以宗教教育，培養其愛人、愛 神、愛國，誠實善良之端正品性，並啟發其自動自發之人性光輝，懂得關懷別人、服務社會、貢獻家國。

  因此本院歷年來院童，在各界均有極為優秀之表現，獲獎者不計其數。

This children’s Home has always maintains about 100 children’s ages’ birth to 18^th children around.

Children’s Home provides services to children who has been abandoned, abused, neglected or no parent or behavior disorders.

Children’s Home similar to big families, which divide by several dormitories separate by different ages boy/girls each contains 8-10 kids.

Our professional staffs loves & cares for the children, accompanies and helping in each ways.  The daily schedule such as morning cleaning, devotion, washing, go to school, meal & bed time are good for the children to carry on .So that they could be independent. Our children attend different schools such as kindergarten , elementary, high school and collages.

Christianity is the main religious education for the children. Jesus Christ lets them learn to love God, the people, and the country. At Home we often taught honesty, friendship, and to help each other’s for good!

Therefore our children are so good and won a lot of awards  from all kinds of competitions.

  本院院童原住民籍約佔80%以上，由於原住民稟持優秀天賦，加上後天環境培養，對於音樂舞蹈均有非常傑出之表現，因此本院兒童聖樂詩歌班經常受邀至各地巡迴演唱，頗獲好評。

  無臂女楊恩典，今已成年以院為家，成為口足專業畫家。

Special talent                                               head

Since that over 80% of children are aboriginal at Home. With their blessed and given talent they have pleasing voice and dancing which to glorify the Lord. As many times they were invited to perform. Our children’s choir  became well known to praise and worship God in all kinds of activities.

Un-Dian Yang, the nature on bounded armless girl, was abundant but now a delicate foot-painter.

  本院自創辦以來，楊煦牧師林鳳英院長夫婦，靠著信心，從未主動對外募捐，自己胼手胝足，整地種植蔬菜水果，餵養豬羊雞鴨等自食其力，目前仍一直保持著典型鄉村優雅農業生活型態。

  而多年來亦蒙政府以及社會各界慈善愛心人士的自動捐助，本院全體仍以無比感恩的心來領受，俾使院童們在眾人的關懷祝福下快樂的成長。

Source of Funds                                                 head

The children’s home does not have a prime steady financial support.its has neither raised nor asked others to raise funds. The work is a “faith” ministry. They depend upon God’s leading and provision to meet all their needs.

Much of the incomes comes from their own hands, Sweet potatos, cassava, fruits, poultry, swine, fish, etc, are grown at Home.

Contributions or donations from public, private, and religious org. as well as individuals are welcomed and appreciated. It is known that your strong support to them will make the work continue to be a blessing so many children.

2. 廚房用冷凍設備、及其它電器設備如洗衣機、錄放影機等。

3. 園藝花草植物可美化環境用。

4. 歡迎提供人力物力協助義務服務院童課業輔導及環境清潔服務。

5. 兒童運動場地舖設，安全遊憩設施及器材等。

6.  以上不僅可使院童受惠, 亦能達成造福鄰近社區功能。

路線指南及圖示                       頁首

1.        高雄→本院：約七十公里路程，由高雄市開車，上中山高速公路朝北轉入10號國道，往旗山方向走到底，下高速公路後，過十字路口向前順著大路開，約1公里至旗尾右轉，往中壇六龜方向而行，至六龜街上一問便知，全程約需1小時10分鐘。

2.        台南→本院：一) 由台南市走仁德、關廟龍崎山路，往旗山方向。 二) 至關廟附近，取3號國道南下，轉往10號國道旗山方向走完國道全程。 然後沿大路順著指路標，往旗尾中壇六龜方向行。

3.        屏東→本院：一) 由屏東往九如上南二高，過280公尺地標後注意右轉，上10號高速公路往旗山方向，餘路程如第1項後段。 二) 往高樹方向，至茂林橋立即左轉，往六龜走台27線，約14公里經過六龜發電廠，過一隆起小橋直行，約1公里下坡至紅綠燈直行，再約1公里即可見本院指示標，左轉過東溪大橋上坡，吊橋左側大門進入即到。

A         Kaohsiung→Home: About 70km. From KHH go No.1 H-way toward Nth, turn into No.10 H-way toward Chi-Sun to the end of H-way, Æ then through the road-cross about 3min.to the end then turn right toward Liu-Kuei (Rd.184). Arrived Liu-Kuei then to the flash light turn right toward children’s home, about 3.5 km. from children’s Home.

B         Tai-Nan→Home: got up to No.3 H-way down Sth, about 20 min. Turn to No.10 H-way toward Chi-Sun, the rest follow the A mark Æ to go.

C         Ping-Tung→Home:

1.        Up to No.3 H-way go Nth, then turn into No.10 H-way toward Chi-Sun, then the rest follow the A mark Æ to go.

2.        Go to Kao-Sue to the Mao-Ling, after the Mao-Ling bridge right away turn to the left toward Liu-Kuei (Rd.27), about 14 km.to arrived Liu-Kuei, then go straight down, about 3.5 km.to children’s home.
